USB pole display setup

This information will help with the installation of your Logic Controls pole display.

We recommend that you view the pages referenced by the links below now, and print them out for reference when the hardware arrives.

****** IMPORTANT: Be sure to download and install the driver BEFORE the pole display is connected to the computer.
(Otherwise, unplug the pole display and reboot your computer before proceeding -- hopefully it will work but it may require a complete un-installation of the driver first.)

1. The driver for the pole display can be downloaded directly using this link:
lc_pole_serial_emulation.zip

2. Once it's downloaded, you need to Open it, and then run the Setup.exe contained in it to install the driver.

3. It will give you a choice of either "Device Name Driver" or "Virtual COM port driver". Be sure to select the radio button next to "Virtual COM port driver".

4. Click the "Install" button to start pre-installation and click "OK" to end setup program.

5. Plug the device in USB port.

(If device had been plugged in before running the setup program, the New Hardware Found Wizard will not display. The device will be shown as "Unknown Device" in Device Manager. In this case, "uninstall" the device from Device Manager and unplug the device. Then plug in after a few seconds.)

6. Depending on your Windows version:

For Windows 7 and later: The driver will be Installed automatically. Confirm continuing installation if there are any warning messages.

For Windows XP: Wait for the New Hardware Found Wizard message box to display. Click "No, not this time" radio button to skip searching internet for the driver if the dialog box is displayed. Select "Install the software automatically" and click button to start installation. Then click button to continue the installation process automatically. When finished, click button to end installation.

7. Invoke Device Manager to check the device driver's COM port number (e.g. Start, Settings, Control Panel, Device Manager). The pole display port will be shown under "Ports (COM & LPT)".

See the documentation on this page for details on setting up the pole display in Campground Master:
Pole Display Setup

The default command settings should work for the Logic Controls display, so you just need to select the appropriate COM port from step 7 above.

Hopefully the above instructions will guide you through the setup without any problem, but feel free to call us if you have any questions.

"Once again, I can't thank you enough for your outstanding support. I know I've said this before, but truly your response time is amazing... You really have a great product. I can't say enough about it!"
