Version 11.4 Release Notes

These release notes list all changes since the version 11.3 release (rev.a).

To upgrade to this release, you only need to install it over your current version.  There is no need to uninstall the previous version.  Any previous versions will be upgraded automatically -- you do not need to install previous upgrades before this one, and all of your data and settings will be retained.  It will make some automatic changes to your database to bring it up to date, so there may be a slightly longer delay the first time you open it.

Upgrades License Expiration Note: To use this version, your free-upgrades license must be current through 3 / 2024 (March 2024).  To check your free-upgrades license expiration date, go to View / Product Authorizations and check the "Upgrades free through" date.

Networking Note: Be sure that all workstations are upgraded at the same time (shut down all workstations, upgrade all of them, then restart them one by one starting with the master workstation).

Previous Versions Note: You will not be able to go back to using your database with a previous version of Campground Master earlier than 11.0 once you start using this version.  You WILL be able to go back to 11.0 or 11.3 releases, but will get an initial warning about opening a database from a newer version.  It will work, and you won't lose anything that's not part of the new functions in version 11.4.

General Changes:

•Added Access Levels for adding Memo transactions, so they can be disabled by operator level.

•Added access level for allowing Resv Type to be selected on Reports / Electric Meters, etc. Now the batch meter reading report will show all Resv Types if the user is not authorized for filtering, and it defaults to "Nobody" (essentially removing the Resv Types filtering because it often causes problems when used improperly).  The access level will have to be manually changed if you definitely need to use the filtering -- go to Maintenance / Park Setup / Access Levels and look for "Reports / Meter reading reports : Select Resv Types to show".

•Purge old data -- added an option to keep (not purge) any customer that has the warning flag set

•Credit card processing -- added an option to submit "Swiped" cards as "Keyed", in case the processing software is not allowing swipe data from Campground Master.

•Show a warning if the Site Abbr or Site Name are more than 50 characters long, to prevent mistakes causing the rack to be messed up by super-long site abbreviations.

•Added a sample custom Form for a printed cancellation letter

•Added a sample Query for Deposits not yet Applied for Reservations -- shows any reservations in the date range having Deposit transactions without matching Dep Applied transactions (with totals).  Good for locating either outstanding deposits for current or future reservation.  Also can be used for locating cases where the transactions were improperly deleted leaving an imbalance that affects reports.

Bug Fixes:

•Fixed -- Opening a cash drawer through another workstation was not working if the option to Show "Opening Drawer" message was enabled.

•Advanced Customizations: Fixed bug in StartNewReservation() function so that it properly uses the Last Night parameter

•Fixed a bug with changing linked reservations to sub-members that would leave a bad portfolio link and potentially crash the program

•Fixed the "Unlink this reservation from all others" function to work for Non-synced reservations

•Fixed Rack not scrolling to the new From date when it is typed manually

•Fixed - Arrivals, etc tabs -- "Auto-charges" and "Auto-balance" column calculation was incorrect for linked reservations

•Fixed -- Edit Guarantee -- If they Re-do swipe in guarantee, but the card isn't actually changed (matches previous value), it's skipping the prompt for "Use this as new card on file".  

•Fixed --  Tab views -- Make sure that columns aren't shown for disabled fields like Site Dirty, Resv Label, Confirmation #, Vendor

•Fixed -- Date ranges -- Make sure both dates have a year if one does (show error if not)

•Fixed Payment and Deposit Transfer dialog so the labels aren't cut off.

•Fixed some corrupt sample forms that were not importing correctly.

•Various quality and performance fixes.
