Running the Software

Top  Previous  Next

When installing the software, you will have the option to have Campground Master start up automatically when you start your computer.  In addition, an icon will be placed on the Windows desktop so you can start or restart the software any time by double-clicking the icon.  (For those who have trouble with double-clicking the mouse button, you can also click an icon once and then press the Enter key to start the program.)

Note: You may see three icons for the program, in which case two of them will be labeled "Demo" -- one with POS (Point if Sale) and one without.  These icons can be used to start the software with the sample database, which can be useful for experimenting.  Once the software is in full use, these demo icon should be deleted to avoid confusion.

Using the Sample Database / Demo

If you're just trying the free demo at this point, then use one of the "Demo" icons to run the program.  You won't need to log in, and you can start working through the Quick-Start Guide to learn the basic functions.  It's a good idea to keep reading through the rest of this "Getting Started" section first, though, especially if you're not a computer expert already.

Starting your own Database

If you've purchased the program or have a 30-day trial authorization code and you're ready to set it up with your own data, then you'll want to first continue reading through this "Getting Started" section, especially if you're not a computer expert already.  Then if you haven't worked with the Demo (sample database) yet, please spend a little time getting familiar with that first (see above).  Finally, when you're ready to tackle the setup yourself, see "Setting up Your Campground Database", especially the Setup Checklist.
